Plekhanov Russian University of Economics took the higher position in the ranking of the universities implementing Public Administration Programs

The research group “National University Ranking” of the International News Agency “Interfax” presented the results of the third ranking of the universities implementing Publiv Administration Programs. The results were announced at Gaidar Forum, which is taking place in Moscow these days.  

Plekhanov Russian University of Economics took the 4th place among Russian universities, getting ahead Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Financial University. Public Administration programs implementing at the following PRUE faculties – the Faculty of Economics and Law and the Faculty of Business “Captains” – were highly appreciated by Interfax ranking.  

The ranking criteria include the number of implemented training divisions, the professional-public and international accreditation, the share of well-schooled graduates (summa cum laude from the universities) as well as the teachers’ publication and citation activities in the field of “State and Law” and Public Administration.  

This year ranking also considered the information technologies and innovative solutions which universities were able to offer and implement during the pandemic, when the main part of the educational process transferred to online format. The platforms for e-learning (LMS) and digital competencies of PRUE employees were also highly appreciated as well as the University’s online courses which can be used not only by Plekhanov University students but also by other students studying under Public Adminisration programs.   “In this year ranking the significant result of Plekhanov University is noted,” said A. G. Chaplygin, Head of the National University Rating Research Group. He added that in the future, the rating methodology would consider the digital intelligent systems using in the educational process, monitoring data of labor market, the level of training in digital management technologies and the formation of an expert system in the field of Public Administration.

  • interact more closely with public authorities of European countries;
  • popularize European higher education in the world;
  • develop academic mobility;
  • seek funding for European universities.
