Call for applications: Special strategic funds for early career researchers

Allocation of Special Strategic Funds from Stockholm Center for Global Asia.

Stockholm Center for Global Asia at Stockholm University will during the 2023-2024 academic year offer funding for early career researchers to write grant proposals focusing on Asia, aimed primarily at calls from major funders such as Formas, Riksbanken Jubileumsfond, and the Swedish Research Council during the spring of 2023. The goal is to strengthen research on Asia at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Stockholm University. Up to three people may be awarded 1-2 month’s salary (including LKP and OH) to write applications supported by the Stockholm Center for Global Asia, or by a department at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Stockholm University. Groups may also apply for funds together. The Center will prioritize applications with the intention to place grants at the Center.

Interested researchers should send a one-page summary of a project proposal and a two-page CV to asianstudies@su.se by 16 January, 2023. Write “strategic funds” in the subject line. A notification of the allocation of funds will be submitted within two weeks.
