Summer schools for doctoral candidates – call for proposals – University of Warsaw

The UW units can apply for funds to organise doctoral summer schools in on-site, hybrid or remote modes. It will be the last edition of the competition, organised under the University’s Integrated Development Programme (ZIP). The submission deadline is 10th March.

Summer schools can be organised autonomously by the faculties or in cooperation with other University units and outside entities. Classes can be conducted in Polish as well as in a foreign language and take place at the University of Warsaw or in a form of a trip. The schools should be held at the latest by the end of October and last 60 – 100 teaching hours. Every summer school has to be attended by at least 15 doctoral candidates from the University of Warsaw.

The estimated budget for a summer school depends on the chosen mode: PLN65 000 (on-site), PLN85 000 (a trip) or PLN68 000 (remote). The University’s Integrated Development Programme (ZIP) covers only the participation fees for UW doctoral candidates. The attendees from other universities need to find different funding sources.
