Call for participants to the European Digital Education Hub’s workshop “AI in Education”

The European Digital Education Hub (EDEH) will hold a workshop in Bucharest, Romania, on June 29 and 30, 2023. Education professionals from all sectors can apply to participate by April 30, 2023.

Theme: AI in education 

The workshop will revolve around how to incorporate AI responsibly and effectively into educational practices. It will offer participants an excellent opportunity to stay current and connect with 30 other international professionals who share an interest to further advance the use of AI in education. Opportunities to build relationships that can lead to future collaborations are an integral part of the workshop’s agenda. 

Some of the topics participants will discuss during the workshop include:

  • the use of AI in adaptive learning and personalisation
  • the role of AI in assessment and evaluation
  • ethical considerations related to AI
  • innovative approaches to curriculum design
  • teaching using AI

Profile of participants

Successful participants:

  • have a demonstrated knowledge on the broader topic of AI in education
  • understand the issues related to AI in education
  • can demonstrate their insights with examples in the application form

Professionals from all relevant fields are welcome, including: all education sectors, policymaking, workplace learning and training, EdTech and the private sector. They can also be already involved in projects related to AI in education.

Practical details   

The workshop is limited to 30 participants.

Arrival in Bucharest is expected for the afternoon/evening of Wednesday, June 28, departure in the evening of Friday, June 30. 

Participation includes food and accommodation.

The travel costs within Europe will be fully reimbursed, upon presentation of proof of payment. Selected participants are advised to arrange for travel themselves, once their participation has been confirmed. 

Please note that you need to work in an Erasmus+ programme country in order to apply.

How to apply 

Applications are open until 30 April 2023.

Workshop participants need to first be registered members of the European Digital Education Hub. The membership will be granted within 5 working days.
