About the CWUR

According to its own information, the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) publishes the largest academic ranking worldwide. It is based on seven indicators, which are grouped into four areas: Teaching Quality, Alumni Careers, Academic Staff and Research Performance. It does not use survey results or data from the universities, but its own indicators. Research performance, for example, is measured by the number of publications in the most influential journals.

The QS World University Subject Ranking

The QS World University Subject Ranking is preceded by a selection of universities. To be included, a university must have a good academic reputation and an above-average number of research publications. Those who are included in the ranking are assessed according to surveys on their reputation, their international research networks, and the citation rates of their published research results.
